Become USA Swimming Official

White shirts, blue shorts, white shoes! Meet Officials are the folks stationed around the deck to ensure that the competition runs smoothly and according to USA Swimming rules. These volunteers undergo specific training for their role, work as apprentice officials, take comprehensive rules tests, and are evaluated by an experienced, “mentor” official before being certified by GA Swimming. Join a rewarding and fun community of folks who love this sport.

Want a great view of the action? Click below for a brief description of the volunteer positions that need to be filled for every meet! These are easy, fun jobs and basic training is provided as needed. Some of the positions, however, do require the commitment to attend special training sessions. New to swimming?  The jobs of timer, runner, bullpen, and concessions are good places to start.
